My love for traveling as a local began during my time living in the vibrant city of Paris a few years ago. Having visited multiple times before, the opportunity to call it home was an entirely unique experience. As one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, I wished to uncover the true essence of French culture, to discover the Paris known to locals.

Over the course of a few months, I formed connections with a group of local friends. They introduced me to extraordinary restaurants, bars and parks, unveiling the authentic Paris, their Paris. From then on, whenever I went out, I asked them for tips about the best spots to immerse myself in the city’s culture. This shift allowed me to savor Paris from an entirely new perspective. Inspired by this experience, I continued to travel around the world relying on local friends to help me create unforgettable memories.

After spending two transformative years in Paris, I found myself sitting at a charming café near Montmartre, savoring a tarte au citron (crafted to perfection by the French). It was at this moment that I was struck with the idea to create a digital travel platform, where travelers could connect with local hosts, fostering meaningful trips and experiences, while supporting local businesses. I firmly believe that there are people who, like me, desire a distinct style of travel. I call these types of people Travelers, not tourists; they go beyond the conventional tourist path. They love walking entire cities while uncovering hidden gems, ensuring that their journey supports the local community.

For these kindred spirits, Wanderloop was born. Our brand name reflects our vision: «Wander» represents the pleasure of exploration, while «loop» embodies the concept of sustainable tourism—a continuous cycle of discovery and positive impact.
