To book a personalized trip, go to the top section of our homepage. Enter your travel details, such as destinations, departure and arrival dates, and the number of travelers, indicating their ages. Press “Search” to proceed. Continue to the next section, where you will be asked additional questions and guided through the booking process. Once you have provided all the necessary information online, we will contact you via inbox to arrange a meeting and confirm important details. Our team will then collaborate with local hosts based on your profile and trip preferences to create your personalized trip, ensuring support for local businesses.
It depends on the duration and number of destinations in your trip. Please anticipate some back-and-forth communication with our travel analyst as we aim to ensure a clear understanding of your travel profile and interests. This clarity will enable our local hosts to curate your trip in the best possible way. Kindly note that travelers are advised to initiate the process at least one and a half months in advance before their departure date, allowing us sufficient time to deliver our best service.

To create a profile, locate the registration section on our homepage at the top right corner and follow the prompts to complete the process. Creating a profile is necessary as it allows Wanderloop to have a better understanding of your travel preferences, enabling us to suggest more personalized trips each time you book with us. Additionally, having a profile helps us find the perfect local host match for you.
We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and debit cards. The accepted payment methods will be displayed during the checkout process.
The ability to make changes to your bookings made by your host depends on the hotel, or car rental policies which are set by them. Some bookings may allow changes with applicable fees, while others may have restrictions. Please contact our customer support for assistance through our Contact Us section. If you wish to make changes in your itinerary, get in contact with our travel analyst through the button on your inbox to help you out.
The ability to make changes to your bookings made by your host depends on the policies of the hotel, car rental service or any other company. Some bookings may allow changes with applicable fees, while others may have restrictions. If you wish to make changes to your itinerary, please get in touch with our travel analyst via the button in your inbox for further assistance.
In the event that the cancellation occurs 24 hours after making the payment, a 100% refund of the deposit will be made. In the event that the cancellation occurs between the second day and the sixth day after making the payment, a refund of 30% of the deposit will be made. In the event that the cancellation occurs between the seventh day and the eleventh day after having made the payment, a refund of 15% of the deposit will be made. In the event that the cancellation occurs 12 days after having made the deposit, no refund will be made. In the event that the cancellation occurs 13 days after making the deposit, the Traveler must pay Wanderloop 75% of the total price of the proposal. In the event that the trip is canceled 10 days before the start date of the trip, the Traveler agrees to pay Wanderloop the full price of the proposal.
In the event that the cancellation occurs 24 hours after making the reservation, a 100% refund will be made. In the event that the cancellation occurs 24 hours after making the reservation and up to 10 days before the start of the experience, a 100% refund will be made. In the event that the cancellation occurs within 9 days to start the experience, no refund will be made. In the event that experiences are reserved in the following 24 hours, and cancelled, no refund will be made.
In case of cancellation, of the scenarios described, above, the specific cancellation policies of hotels, car rental companies, museums or event organizers will apply. Our local hosts will be informed of the cancellation and will contact you to discuss available solutions to the problem.
Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and the destination country. It is essential to check the visa requirements and obtain the necessary visas or travel authorizations before your trip. You can find visa information by contacting the embassy or consulate of the destination country.
If you encounter any issues during your trip, such as flight delays, hotel problems, or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact your travel analyst via inbox by clicking on your profile picture and then selecting the chat box. As we may be in a different time zone, please allow up to 24 hours for a response. We are here to assist you and resolve any issues to ensure you have a seamless travel experience.
As the Wanderloop host community continues to expand globally, we prioritize the safety and security of both our hosts and guests. To verify the identity of our users, we utilize a trusted third-party service called Onfido which enables us to verify identities in a secure and efficient manner, ensuring the protection of our users’ data throughout the process. This data will not be passed on to other parties, unless legally required (in case of reported incidents related to an experience).

To apply as a Wanderloop host, click on the “Become a Host” icon located in the top right-hand corner or in the menu on our homepage. Follow the instructions to provide the required information. We will review your application and assess if you are a suitable fit for our platform. If approved, our team will contact you to proceed with the onboarding process. If not approved, you will receive an email notification informing you of the outcome.

Experience cancelled by the Host
If the host cancels the experience, the traveler will receive a 100% refund. Please note that cancelling bookings will have a negative impact on your profile, as it will affect your confirmation rate.
There are other issues where the traveler will recieve a full refund such as: Host fails to deliver or fulfill the Experience, including because of Host technical difficulties in the case of Online Experience.
Host arrives more than 15 minutes late to the Experience causing the guest to abandon the Experience.
Experience presents or entails a safety or health hazard that would reasonably be expected to adversely affect a guest’s participation.
Rejected/Withdrawn/Expired Experience Requests
Each experience request must be confirmed within 48 hours. If you reject or fail to confirm the request within this time frame, the request will expire, and no payment will be made to you. This also applies if the guest withdraws the booking request before you confirm it. Be sure to click the “Confirm” button!
Experience cancelled by traveler
The traveler will receive a full refund if they cancel the booked experience within 24 hours of making the reservation.
If the traveler cancels after 24 hours of making the reservation and more than 10 days before the start date of the experience, they will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
If the traveler cancels 10 days before the start date of the experience or less, they will not receive a refund. The start time of the experience is based on the host time zone.
For same-day bookings, which are experiences starting within 24 hours, travelers will not receive refund for cancellations.

The easiest way to cancel a booked experience is by going to the “Manage my Bookings” section on your dashboard. Select the experience you would like to cancel and click on the “cancel booking” option. Please note that by canceling the booking, you acknowledge that you will not receive any payment for the booked experience, as the refund will be issued to the traveler.

- Via Phone / Whatsapp: Your contact number, as well as theirs, will only be visible once the trip / experience is paid and confirmed.
Most of the time, travelers reach out to confirm details or make changes to the trip or experience. It’s important to respond within 24 hours to ensure they feel secure and comfortable. Remember, prompt responses to messages and requests reflect positively on our service!
Wanderloop is an intermediary company that connects travelers seeking personalized trips or experiences with local hosts who offer them. As a host, you will be working on a freelance basis, and there is no employment agreement between you and Wanderloop.
Your responsibilities as a local host include:
- Curating the best trips and experiences to ensure that people receive mora than they came in looking for.
- Prioritizing security: You are responsible for your personal insurance as well as ensuring that travelers have insurance. It is mandatory for everyone to have insurance. The cost they pay you for the experience should include this.
- Managing your bookings and communications with travelers
- Making all necessary arrangements for the services required in trips and experiences.
- Complying with local tax regulations and declaring your taxes as a freelancer according to the applicable laws.
Yes, anyone can become a host. You don’t need to have studied tourism or have a license to offer trips or tours in your city, although having relevant qualifications or experience is a plus. However, you will need to meet certain recruitment factors set by Wanderloop.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about their city and have extensive knowledge of it. As a host, it is important to be professional, punctual, and provide excellent service to our clients. Proficiency in two languages, including your native language and English, is preferred. If you are unable to speak English, it may be considered a disadvantage as we cater to international clients, and travelers we may opt for another host who can communicate effectively in English.
Our platform is designed for individual hosts rather than businesses or corporate profiles. Here are the requirements for our hosts:
- Each profile is associated with an individual person who will be responsible for providing the experiences and services and interacting with our guests.
- While you can have your own business, please refrain from using corporate attributes such as logos or company names on our website.
- As a host, it is important to represent Wanderloop while interacting with guests. Avoid selling any services that are not advertised through the Wanderloop platform.
As a host on Wanderloop, it is important to adhere to our policy of not conducting bookings with travelers outside of our platform. This includes arranging tours or experiences, accepting payments, and communicating with guests. This policy is in place to prioritize the safety and security of both guests and hosts, and to maintain a fair and transparent platform for everyone involved.
Additionally, it is strictly prohibited to share any contact details with guests before the booking is confirmed within our system. This includes email addresses, phone numbers, social media, or links to personal websites. All communication should occur within the Wanderloop platform until the booking is officially confirmed.
Failure to comply with these policies may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. In such cases, all future bookings may be canceled and refunded, or transferred to the first available host. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding the integrity of our platform.
